Google documents tab-delimited TXT/TSV and XML uploads. CSV exports can be inspected here; they still need a supported upload format. Pasted text is already decoded.

Results

What the result means

The report identifies problems in the supplied product data, with record numbers, physical lines, product IDs and links to Google requirements. Errors are violations of the implemented rules; warnings flag likely quality problems; needs-review findings require product or account context. Choose primary or supplemental data, destination and target country before interpreting required fields. GTIN checks validate digits and checksums, not manufacturer assignment or product ownership. Duplicate product IDs are checked within this file; shared variant group IDs are expected. Download the issues CSV to work through corrections, or JSON for the complete stored report and ruleset details. A clean report means no issues were found within the published checks. It does not guarantee approval, image suitability, landing-page consistency or successful synchronization.

Questions

Is this feed validator completely free?

Yes. Validation, column mapping and both report downloads are free without an account. Processing happens locally and there is no paid report upgrade.

Does my feed leave the browser?

No. Files and pasted content are processed in a local browser worker. Feed values, file names and product URLs are not sent to analytics or uploaded to PageUtil.

Can Google Merchant Center accept CSV files?

Google documents tab-delimited TXT/TSV and XML product uploads. This tool can inspect CSV exports too, but passing its data checks does not make a CSV file a supported Google upload.

Does a valid GTIN guarantee acceptance?

No. A correct length and check digit do not prove manufacturer assignment, ownership or a match to the product. Verify identifiers against the packaging and manufacturer; never repair a GTIN by changing only its check digit.

Will passing fix all product disapprovals?

No. Merchant Center also evaluates account policies, website content, landing-page prices, images and shipping configuration. This report covers only the published file-side checks.

Can I check a supplemental source?

Yes. Choose Supplemental source to check IDs and supplied values without requiring primary-source fields. The tool cannot verify whether those IDs exist in your account or whether merged data will be valid.

Why are product records and lines different?

A CSV field can contain quoted line breaks, while an XML item can span many lines. The report identifies logical records separately from physical source lines. Text record numbering includes the header as record one.

Can I validate a Shopify product export?

You can map its columns to Google attributes for inspection after an initial check. A generic Shopify export may omit Google-specific values and is not automatically a complete Google product feed.
