What the result means
When moving your DJ music library to a new computer, external SSD, or different operating system (macOS to Windows or vice versa), Rekordbox often displays orange exclamation marks and missing track errors because the underlying file paths changed. Rather than relocating tracks one by one, this tool updates the Location file URI attributes across your entire exported Rekordbox XML collection (rekordbox.xml). It rewrites path prefixes, handles Windows drive letters and URI encoding, and preserves all hot cues, memory points, beatgrids, and playlist hierarchies intact.

Questions
Why does Rekordbox show missing file errors after moving music to another drive or laptop?
Rekordbox stores absolute file paths to every track in your collection. If the drive letter changes (e.g. D: to E: on Windows) or your user directory changes on macOS, Rekordbox can no longer locate the audio files.
How do I import the repaired XML back into Rekordbox?
In Rekordbox Preferences, go to Advanced → Database → rekordbox xml and select the repaired XML file. Then open the XML section in your Rekordbox tree, right-click, and select Import to Collection.
Will repairing XML paths delete my cue points or beatgrids?
No. This tool only updates the Location URI attribute of each TRACK tag. All inner tags—including POSITION_MARK, TEMPO, and PLAYLISTS—remain completely unaltered.
