What the result means

This tool performs client-side inspection of H5P interactive learning packages without uploading content or credentials to remote servers. It unpacks the ZIP container, validates the root h5p.json manifest and content.json parameter structure, and cross-references all declared preloaded and dynamic dependencies against bundled library folders. When Moodle, Canvas, or WordPress rejects a package with cryptic missing library errors, this validator visualises the complete dependency hierarchy, identifies missing dependencies, flags library folder naming mismatches, verifies declared JavaScript and CSS assets, and confirms that embedded media files exist within the archive before import.

Questions

Why does Moodle or WordPress show "Missing required library" when uploading an H5P file?

This error occurs when an H5P package relies on dependencies that are neither bundled in the .h5p archive nor pre-installed on your LMS server. Uploading packages created on newer H5P hubs often references updated core libraries that older LMS installations do not yet possess.

Does this tool execute any scripts contained inside the H5P package?

No. The validator performs strictly static inspection of the package ZIP archive, JSON manifests, and folder schemas. No embedded JavaScript, HTML markup, or external resources from the archive are ever executed during validation.

Can this validator identify missing video, audio, or image files in an H5P file?

Yes. The tool traverses content/content.json to extract all referenced media asset paths, then verifies whether the corresponding files exist within the archive, alerting you to broken media references before publishing.
