Free Email Header Analyzer

Analyze email headers locally to trace delivery hops, delay times, and SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication verdicts with complete client-side privacy.

Email headers

Paste the full internet headers from Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail or your webmail provider.

Results

What the result means

Paste the complete raw headers from any email message to inspect its delivery timeline and cryptographic authentication posture. The analyzer unrolls folded lines according to RFC 5322 standards, traces each Received header hop in true chronological order, and measures the individual transit delay across every intermediary mail transfer agent. It extracts authentication verdicts directly from Authentication-Results and ARC-Authentication-Results headers, isolating SPF, DKIM, and DMARC passing or failing states. All analysis runs entirely in client-side memory without transmitting confidential subject lines, email addresses, recipient names, or internal corporate IP addresses to external diagnostic endpoints.

Questions

Where do I find raw email headers in my email client?

In Gmail, click More (three dots) and select Show original. In Outlook desktop, open File > Properties > Internet headers. In Apple Mail, choose View > Message > Raw Source.

Are my email subject lines or sender addresses stored?

No. Analysis is performed 100% locally in your browser memory. No header contents, email addresses, or IP addresses are uploaded or logged.

Why does a hop show zero or negative delay?

Sub-second transfers round down to zero seconds. Occasional negative delays occur when the clocks on successive mail servers are not accurately synchronized via NTP.
