What to run
Open IndexNow Submitter and enter your target website domain or XML sitemap URL. If you provide a homepage URL, select Fetch Sitemap to extract URLs from your standard sitemap index or root sitemap file.
Generate or enter your 8 to 128 character IndexNow API key. If you have not uploaded a key file yet, select Download .txt to save the verification file and place it at the root of your public web server.
Review the extracted URL list. Ensure every entry shares the identical host domain and protocol. IndexNow rejects submissions where URLs do not match the authorized host.
How to read the result
Select Pre-Check Key File before initiating submission. The diagnostic verifies that your web server answers with HTTP 200 and serves your key token as plain text. If your server returns 404, 403, or an HTML login redirect, fix server accessibility before proceeding.
When you select Bulk Submit, the tool packages up to 10,000 URLs per request and posts the payload to IndexNow. An HTTP 200 response indicates immediate validation and acceptance. An HTTP 202 response indicates that your submission has been queued for distribution across participating search engines including Bing, Yandex, Seznam, and Naver.
What to open next
If the key pre-check reports an error or unexpected status code, consult How to Verify an IndexNow API Key to inspect server directives and custom key locations.
To review crawl behavior, redirection loops, or canonical status changes after submission, test sample destinations in Redirect Checker and inspect server response headers in HTTP Headers.
Stop when
Stop when the submission returns HTTP 200 or HTTP 202 and confirms the exact count of submitted URLs.
Remember that IndexNow informs search crawlers that a page exists or changed; it does not guarantee instant indexing or search ranking. Monitor crawling activity in Bing Webmaster Tools or server access logs over subsequent hours.

Frequently asked questions
How many URLs can I submit in a single IndexNow batch?
The IndexNow protocol allows up to 10,000 URLs per POST request. For websites with larger inventories, divide submissions into batches of 10,000.
Do I need to submit URLs separately to Bing and Yandex?
No. All search engines participating in the IndexNow initiative share submissions automatically across their crawler infrastructures.
Can I submit URLs from multiple subdomains in one batch?
No. Each IndexNow batch must contain URLs belonging strictly to one specific host domain matching the verification key.
